Helium leak detection
The tightness of vacuum systems is essential for creating an optimum final pressure with short pumping times. It also prevents the harmful influence of atmospheric oxygen on the vacuum processes.
The most effective method for identifying leaks is to use a helium leak detector, which can be used to detect leak rates of up to around 10-10 mbar*l/s.
We offer the following methods for determining the leak rate
- Pressure rise measurement
- Pressure drop measurement
- Local leak detection using the spray method
- Local leak detection using the sniffing method
- Integral leak rate determination in the bombing test (test gas enrichment)
- Integral leak rate determination in the vacuum test
Further leak detection services
- Repair and maintenance of helium leak detectors
- Certification of standard helium leaks
- Loan equipment for leak detection
